In a time of crisis VOCA is there for Québec’s fashion industry.

28 May 2020

It is with regret that, in compliance with government directives prohibiting all indoor events, activities or gatherings of more than 10 people during the current pandemic, VOCA must officially cancel its first fashion event that was scheduled for August at the Centrexpo in Drummondville.

We have postponed making this difficult decision for as long as possible, knowing how much the Québec fashion industry counts on our commitment to get through this challenging period. VOCA is fortunate to be able to rely on its valuable partners and institutional and governmental collaborators, and our sources inform us that the current directives could be extended beyond August 31, 2020, for reasons of health and safety, which rightly take precedence.

VOCA in recovery mode

In this climate of uncertainty, VOCA is refocusing its efforts to help retailers, exhibitors and its many collaborators to prepare to seize any possible opportunities for economic recovery. Our inaugural event will therefore take place at the Centrexpo in Drummondville from February 21 to 23, and will be dedicated to Fall-Winter 2021 fashion.

True to its mission and stoked by the enthusiasm surrounding its launch, VOCA is already working hard to bring together all the fashion decision-makers under one roof, in order to provide you a safe and innovative space that will facilitate and maximize your own efforts during the recovery. Complete information, including registration procedures, will be soon posted on our website at vocamode.ca, which you may visit at any time to be kept informed.

VOCA Virtual

At the same time, we are also studying the feasibility of creating a virtual VOCA platform upon which exhibitors may present their products, either in the coming months or as part of a permanent offer. Don’t forget that our partners also offer many online resources, which we encourage you to consult to find a host of solutions and to help you prepare a successful recovery.
